Mimco is pleased to announce the launch of TECO’s new line of washdown motors. The company’s new product features stainless steel construction and has earned full certification by the Baking Industry Sanitation Standards Committee (BISSC).
Washdown motors
Regular high-pressure liquid cleaning is required in food processing, pharmaceutical and other applications. It is imperative to keep water and condensation out of the motor. When water penetrates the motor, it can lead to premature electrical or mechanical failure. Electric motors not specifically designed for this environment will fail quickly leading to costly downtime
In response to this need, motor manufacturers created “washdown” motors. These motors are designed to allow the motor to withstand these elements.
